The 2022 PIF Saudi took place at Riyadh Golf Club between 8-10 December on the Asian Development Tour (ADT) for the first time in the tournament’s history. The tournament which is organised annually by Golf Saudi and has a prize purse of $200,000, was won by Indonesian Naraajie E. Ramadhanputra with a three-shot victory. His win sees him qualify for the 2023 PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers. The tournament was an historic moment for the ADT, as it was the first event of its kind to be held in the Kingdom.
The 2022 PIF Saudi Open has officially concluded. Naraajie Ramadhanputra was this year’s champion and as a result of his success, he has qualified for the 2023 PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers. Ramadhanputra secured the title with a score of 197 (19-under-par). Meanwhile, Egyptian golfer Issa Abouelelah was crowned the tournament’s amateur winner with an overall score of 207 (9-under-par).
Host venue of the Saudi Open, the facility boasts a challenging 18-hole golf course with exceptional practice facilities. The course’s undulating terrain, wide fairways and manicured greens offer golfers a pleasurable and challenging experience. The manmade lakes and streams traversing into the whole course aim to keep golfers at the top of their game, whilst strategically placed pins will keep the total scores competitive.
After recent refurbishments, the club now offers a leisure Padel club, restaurant, Shisha Lounge and outdoor terrace with large screens for events.
VISIT WEBSITEThe Asian Development Tour, founded in 2010, is a professional golf tour, enabling players to pursue their dreams of playing on the Asian Tour. The top five players on the order of merit at the end of the year, will earn their Asian Tour Card for the following season. Tournaments carry world ranking points, and mainly are played across Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Indonesia.
Due to Covid-19, the tour has been on hold for three years, and the new season will enable locations such as Saudi Arabia, to showcase its talent and facilities, whilst offering superb hospitality to traveling players.
